Want your reservations and your POS to finally talk to each other? Good news, they can! 😊 With the Noona × Storyous integration, reservations, bills, open tables in Storyous and table occupancy in Noona stay in sync across both systems automatically. No re-typing, no manual entry, no guessing.
This guide walks you through how it works and how to set it up, step by step. 👇
✨ How does the integration work?
Here's what a guest's visit looks like once everything is connected:
1) Booking
The guest books a table online through Noona.
2) Seating
As soon as you mark the guest as seated in Noona, the reservation is sent to Storyous. A bill opens automatically at the POS with the guest's name and table number.
3) Table change
Moving the guest to another table during their visit? No problem. Noona is notified of the change, and the reservation stays linked to the right table.
4) Closing the bill
The moment you close the bill in Storyous, the reservation in Noona is automatically marked as finished. The table is free again and ready for the next online booking right away.
5) Walk-in guests
Guest walked in without a reservation? If you open a bill in Storyous on a table that has no reservation in Noona, a walk-in reservation is automatically created on that table in Noona. Your floor overview stays up to date, even for unexpected guests!
The status of every reservation updates on its own based on what's actually happening on the floor, from a confirmed booking to a seated guest to a completed visit. Nobody has to click anything by hand. 🙌
💡 What does it bring you?
One view of your floor 👀: Reservations and what's happening on the floor come together in one place. No more comparing the POS with the reservation system and guessing which table is really free.
Faster table turnaround ⚡: As soon as guests pay, the table is available in Noona for the next booking. At peak times, that means more guests served per evening.
Less admin during service 🧘: Staff work mainly in Storyous during a shift, and reservation statuses update themselves. You save time and avoid mistakes from manual re-typing.
An accurate picture of your day 📊: You always know how many guests and tables you serve in a day, which is handy for shift planning too.
✅ Before you start (quick check)
Make sure you have:
an active Storyous POS 🧾
access to your restaurant's settings in Noona HQ 🔑
a few minutes to finish the setup ⏱️
🪜 Step by step: Activating the integration
1) Install the Storyous app
In Noona HQ, go to Settings → Account → Apps, find the Storyous card and click Install.
2) Copy your restaurant's ID
A Finish setting up Storyous window appears with a Copy ID button. Click it to copy your ID. 📋
3) Send the ID to Storyous
Send the copied ID to Storyous support, and they'll switch the connection on from their side. 📩
Until they do, you'll see a Storyous POS Not Connected notice in Noona HQ. That's completely normal. It just means Storyous hasn't switched the connection on yet.
4) Link your tables
Once the connection is active, click Open on the Storyous card. You can link your tables in two ways:
The quick way: Click Sync Tables from Storyous. Noona creates tables and zones automatically based on your Storyous setup.
The manual way: Drag each Storyous table onto an existing Noona table.
👌 Good to know: table names don't have to match between the two systems.
🎉 All done!
Once your tables are linked, you're all set. Reservations will start flowing into your Storyous POS automatically, and your floor stays in sync. 🚀
🆘 Something not working?
I still see "Storyous POS Not Connected"
Check that you've sent your ID to Storyous support.
The connection is switched on from their side, so it may take a little while.
My table names are different in Noona and Storyous
That's fine! Tables are linked by syncing or dragging, not by name.
