A place to sit is the alpha and omega of every restaurant 🍽️ In this article, you'll learn how to add tables, table combinations and zones to Noona, so your whole floor plan is ready for bookings. Let's set it up together!
👇 How to add a table, table combination or zone
Click on the Menu and go to the Tables section.
Click "+ New".
Choose what you want to add:
Table: a single table that you can add to zones or to different combinations.
Table combination: lets you merge tables situated near each other and offer them as a single reservation for larger groups of guests.
Zone: lets you define areas such as the first or second floor. This helps you organize and navigate a large number of tables, and it's useful for the calendar view and customer rulesets setup.
🪑 Tables
How do you set up an individual table, and which settings can you customize? Let's go through them from top to bottom, as they appear in the right-hand panel.
Display on calendar: use the toggle to choose whether the table is visible in your calendar.
Available for online bookings: use the toggle to choose whether the table is visible in online booking.
Name: name the table however you like.
Zone: assign the table to the zone where it's located, for example the second or third floor.
Constraints: set the minimum and maximum number of guests allowed for reservations at the table.
Online bookings settings: determines how often the table's availability is shown to clients in online booking. For example, with a 15-minute interval, slots appear at 10:15, 10:30, 10:45 and so on, adjusting if the previous booking ends at an irregular time.
Priority: choose between "Normal" and "High". In online bookings, tables with high priority are booked first automatically.
🔗 Table combinations
Wouldn't it be great if nearby tables were grouped automatically and offered to larger groups? Noona can do exactly that.
Combined resources: choose the tables you'd like to merge, and the system will automatically create one reservable unit.
Constraints: after you add the tables, the system automatically calculates the minimum and maximum capacity. You can also adjust these values yourself as needed.
🗺️ Zones
Organize your tables into clearly defined zones for a better overview and smoother service and better experience in your daily calendar.
Zone name: name the zone however you like, for example Second Floor, First Floor, Near the Kitchen or In the Corner. It's entirely up to you.
Sorting order: sets the order in which zones are displayed in the timeline view. Lower numbers appear first, and the range is from 1 to 100.
Tables: select the tables located in the zone you created.
⚠️ Good to know: One table, one zone
Each table can only be assigned to one zone. For example, a table can belong to your Terrace or your Main area, but not to both at the same time. 🪑
That's it! 🎉
Your tables are set up and ready for guests. You can come back and adjust them anytime, whether you're rearranging the floor or adding a new terrace. 🙌
