Overview
Booking Offers are a new way for merchants to invite clients to confirm or prepay for a specific appointment time, without needing to rely on waitlists or manual follow-ups. This feature makes the booking process more seamless and professional, while preserving flexibility and control for both Merchants and clients.
What is a Booking Offer?
A Booking Offer allows you to reserve a time slot for a client while requiring them to either confirm or pay in advance. Until they take action, the slot is held temporarily and marked as pending in your calendar.
Think of it as sending an “invitation” for a booking that the client must accept.
When to Use It
Use a Booking Offer when:
You want the client to confirm before the booking becomes final.
You require an advance payment before confirming the service.
You are saving a specific time slot for a client without committing it fully until they respond.
How It Works
1. Create a Booking Offer
In your calendar, select a time and service as usual.
Instead of clicking Create appointment, click Send booking offer.
Tip: You’ll see a tooltip saying, “A useful option if you want the client to confirm or pay for the booking in advance.”
2. Fill in the Offer Details
Client email: This is where the offer will be sent.
Expires in: Set how long the offer will stay valid (e.g., 48 hours).
(Optional) Message: Add a personal note.
Tap Send booking offer to deliver it to the client.
3. The Client Experience
Clients receive an email and/or push notification with the booking details and options to:
Decline the offer.
Confirm and pay via checkout.
The offer expires automatically if no action is taken.
4. Managing the Pending Offer
Pending offers appear in your calendar with a striped background and hourglass icon.
Click the event to:
Confirm manually (if the client agrees outside of Noona).
Cancel/delete the offer.
Once confirmed, the event becomes a standard booking.
FAQs
Q: Can I edit a pending booking offer?
A: No. To avoid confusion, offers can’t be changed after being sent. Delete and resend if needed.
Q: What happens if the client doesn’t respond?
A: The offer automatically expires, and the time slot becomes available again.
Q: Can I see if a client has viewed the offer?
A: Not yet. You will only be notified when they confirm or decline.
