You can use the staff commission to motivate your team to increase sales and booking performance. In this article, you will learn how to activate and configure the staff commissions to fulfill your needs. As well as see how you can calculate them by the end of every month.

​⚙️ How to activate commissions for an employee

Steps:

1️⃣ Go to Home → Staff
2️⃣ Click on the employee you want to configure
3️⃣ Enable the Commissions option

You can then set commission percentages as you want to 👇 Don't forget to click on the blue save button 👀

⚠️ Only users with the appropriate permissions can change these settings.

📍 Permissions can be adjusted here: Settings → Business → Roles


📊 Available commission types

You can set different percentages for different types of sales.

💇 Services
Commission based on the service performed.
E.g. manicure, haircut, facial treatment

🛍️ Products
Commission on products sold during the client visit.
E.g. haircare, skincare, beverages

🎟️ Vouchers
Commission on vouchers sold at checkout.
E.g. gift vouchers, service packages

📅 Bookings
Commission for the person who created the booking in the system


🤓 Example of how commissions work

Let’s imagine the situation:
💆 a massage costs 100 €
👩 Val creates the booking
👨 Dan performs the service

Result:
Val receives commission for the booking
Dan receives commission for the service

If Dan creates the booking himself:
Dan receives commission for the booking
Dan also receives commission for the service


Services added to a booking

If a service is added to an existing booking:
the booking commission remains with the person who created it
the service commission goes to the person who performed it

These commissions are calculated only after checkout is completed.

🧾 Products or services added at checkout

If a product or service is added only during checkout:
there is commission for the product or service
❌ there is no booking commission


📑 Commission report

You can easily track team commissions.

📍 Go to: Sales → Reports → Commissions

Here you can see:


👥 total commissions per employee
📅 values by time period
📊 team performance

💡 This report is especially useful at the end of the month for calculating commission payouts. It's also very important for staff members to know how much money they'll make on that month, and can access it in the same place.
