Add descriptions for staff members and services for online bookings so that your customers can get all the information they need!

Descriptions are an important part of your online booking experience. They give clients clarity, highlight specializations, and reduce the chance of misunderstandings or mismatched expectations.

✍️ Adding a Description to a Service

Adding a description helps clients understand:

  • What the service includes

  • Who it’s for

  • Any preparation required

  • Important restrictions (e.g., age limits)

Two Ways to Access the Service Description Field:

Option 1: Via the Services Tab

  1. Go to SettingsServices

  2. Select the service you want to update

  3. Click Edit Service

  4. Select the Online Bookings tab

  5. Find the Description field and enter your content

  6. Click Save

Option 2: Via Online Bookings

  1. Go to SettingsOnline Bookings

  2. Select Services, Staff & Resources

  3. Find the service and click Edit

  4. Add your description under the Online Bookings tab

  5. Click Save


👤 Adding a Description to a Staff Member

A staff description can include:

  • Areas of expertise

  • Experience or certifications

  • Preferred client types or services

  • Personal touch to build trust

Two Ways to Add a Staff Description:

Option 1: Via the Staff Tab

  1. Go to SettingsStaff

  2. Click on the staff member’s name

  3. Select Edit (top right of their profile)

  4. Click the Online Bookings tab

  5. Enter a description in the Description field

  6. Click Save

Option 2: Via Online Bookings

  1. Go to SettingsOnline Bookings

  2. Select Services, Staff & Resources

  3. Find the staff member and click Edit

  4. Add the description under the Online Bookings tab

  5. Click Save


✅ Best Practices for Descriptions

  • Keep it concise, but informative

  • Use bullet points for longer descriptions

  • Mention any special requirements (e.g., “Must be 18+”)

  • Highlight unique aspects of the service or team member
