Introduction

In Noona HQ, Resources are non-staff entities that can perform services — such as tanning beds, massage chairs, or treatment rooms. They help you schedule services that don’t require a staff member but still require availability management.

When Should You Use a Resource?

Use a Resource when a service:

  • Doesn’t require a person (e.g., a tanning bed or infrared sauna)

  • Needs to be scheduled to avoid double bookings

  • Can operate alongside or independently from staff members

Example: A 30-minute tanning session doesn’t need a staff member present, but it does require a tanning bed to be free. That tanning bed is your resource.

How to Add a Resource

Follow these steps to set up a new resource:

  1. In the left-hand menu, click on Resources (under Home).

  2. Click + New Resource on the top-right corner.

  3. Enter the name and an optional description of the resource.

  4. Click Save.

Linking Resources to Services

To ensure your calendar correctly books the right resource:

Option 1: From the Resource Profile

  • Click Customize Services.

  • Select the services that require this resource.

Option 2: From Online Booking Settings

  • Navigate to Online BookingsServices, Staff & Resources.

  • Edit the service and assign it to the required resource(s), staff, or both

Tip: You can mix and match: some services might need only a resource, some only a staff member, and some both.

Why It’s Important

Assigning services to resources helps you:

  • Avoid double bookings of equipment or rooms

  • Provide a smoother booking experience for your clients

  • Optimize your calendar and avoid scheduling conflicts
