✅ Before you start (quick check)
Make sure you have:
online payments set up 💳, meaning a completed Adyen payment provider form (see the article "Prepayments on Noona" for help filling it in)
your restaurant's profile visible on Noona 👀
Without the Adyen form, your bank account can't be verified and you won't be able to receive payments for vouchers sold.
💡 Good to know: A 1.99% fee is automatically deducted from every online voucher payment.
🪜 Step by step: Activating voucher sales
1) Open your Online Bookings settings
In Noona HQ, open Menu - Profile. Go to the Online Bookings settings and choose Vouchers under Add-ons.
2) Confirm the setup
Confirm the voucher setup prompt.
3) Create your voucher templates
Create the vouchers you want to offer and switch on the ones you want to sell online. More on that below. 👇
🎟️ What types of vouchers can you create?
You can create three types of vouchers for your restaurant:
Single-use voucher 🍽️: A voucher for one specific experience, such as dinner for two or a cooking class. Perfect for quick promos or as an easy gift. Once redeemed, it's fully used.
Amount voucher 💰: A voucher with a fixed value that can be spent on any experience. Ideal for gifting or offering flexible credit. The balance decreases with each use until it runs out. You can also offer it at a discount, for example a voucher worth 100€ sold for 80€.
Custom amount voucher ✨: Once switched on, guests can buy a voucher for any amount through your profile in the Noona app and on the website.
Creating a single-use voucher
1) Go to Voucher templates
In the menu, go to Sales → Voucher templates.
2) Click "+ New"
Hit the blue + New button and choose Single-use voucher. 👆
3) Decide if you want to sell it online
At the top, switch on Sell voucher online if you want guests to be able to buy it on Noona. 🔛
4) Fill in the general details
Experience: Choose the experience the voucher is for, such as a cooking class or a dinner menu.
Title: The voucher's name. It's filled in automatically based on the experience, but you can change it.
Party size: Set how many guests the voucher is for using the − and + buttons.
Expiry period: Choose how long the voucher stays valid.
5) Set the pricing 💰
Value: Calculated automatically from the experience's price and the party size.
Retail price: The price you'll sell the voucher for. If you sell it for less than its value, Noona shows you the discount, for example Offered at a 100% discount if you leave the retail price at 0. 🏷️
6) Add descriptions (optional)
Click Add next to Marketplace voucher description and Printed voucher description to tell guests more about the voucher.
7) Design your voucher 🎨
Switch to the Appearance tab at the top. Your voucher has three parts you can customize:
Header image 🖼️: Click Add header image or drag and drop an image to upload it. Use a square image (1:1).
Text and background color 🎨: Click the palette icon to choose the text and background color. You'll see a preview right away.
Footer image 🖼️: Click Add footer image or drag and drop an image to upload it. Use a wide image (2:1).
8) Preview your voucher
Under Preview voucher, click Download to see how the finished voucher will look.
9) Create the voucher
Click the blue Create voucher button at the bottom. 🎉
Creating an amount voucher
1) Go to Voucher templates
In the menu, go to Sales → Voucher templates.
2) Click "+ New"
Hit the blue + New button and choose Amount voucher. 👆
3) Decide if you want to sell it online
At the top, switch on Sell voucher online if you want guests to be able to buy it on Noona. 🔛
4) Set the expiry period
Under General, choose how long the voucher stays valid in Expiry period. 📅
5) Set the pricing 💸
Value: The amount the guest can spend, for example 100€.
Retail price: The price you'll sell the voucher for. If it's lower than the value, Noona shows you the discount, for example Offered at a 50% discount for a 100€ voucher sold for 50€. 🏷️
6) Add descriptions (optional)
Click Add next to Marketplace voucher description and Printed voucher description to tell guests more about the voucher. 📝
7) Design your voucher 🎨

🛍️ Where can guests buy vouchers?
Once online sales are active, your vouchers will be available on your restaurant's profile in the Noona app and on noona.app. 🎉
And there's more:
Guests who have added your restaurant to their favorites ❤️ will see your vouchers on the app's home page as soon as they open it.
Guests may also be offered a voucher while booking a table. 🪑
💳 Paying a deposit with a voucher
Guests can also use a voucher to pay a reservation deposit. 🙌 If your restaurant already takes deposits, check your deposit settings after setting up vouchers.
📋 Where can you manage sold vouchers?
Go to Sales → Vouchers. Here you'll see all sold vouchers with:
their ID numbers 🔢
their validity 📅
the name of the guest who bought them, where available 👤
You can also track the usage status of each voucher:
Never used
Partially used
Fully used
Expired (after the validity period ends)
🧾 Step by step: Redeeming a voucher
Your Noona reservation system is connected to the Storyous POS, but vouchers aren't synced between the two. You record the redemption in Noona HQ and handle the payment in Storyous separately.
1) Go to Sales → Vouchers
2) Use the voucher
Open the actions menu (three dots ⋯) next to the voucher and click Use voucher.
3) Record the payment in Storyous
Then record the voucher payment in your Storyous POS. ✅
💸 How do payouts work?
You'll find information about payouts for vouchers sold online under Sales → Payouts.
🆘 Something not working?
I can't see the guest's name on a voucher
If a voucher was bought as a gift and the recipient has no previous reservation with you, their name won't be shown. That's completely normal.
The redemption isn't showing in Storyous
Vouchers aren't synced with Storyous, so you need to record the voucher payment in your POS separately.
I'm not receiving payouts for sold vouchers
Check that your Adyen payment provider form is completed. Without it, your bank account can't be verified.
