Get to the right spot

If you want to customise your reminders, you first have to get to the right spot inside the system.

Go to settings and SMS, like shown in the video here to the left.

Changing the reminder title

You know when you receive an SMS, and you see who it's from? That's the title.

You can change the title of the reminders to your customers by following the video below:

The title can only be 10 characters, sadly. If it were up to us, it should be able to be a lot longer. But it seems to be some kind of built in constraint to SMS as a technology.

Let's stay clear of that conversation for now 😅

Changing the phone no. included in the reminder

In the default reminder, it says: "For cancellations call: 123-456-789"

The phone number that is included in the message can be changed.

You can do so by following the steps shown in the video.

Changing the text of the reminder

Next thing you can change is the body of the reminder. In other words, the text that appears in the reminder.

You can make the text to say whatever you like, except you can't change the first line of the reminder. That's because the first line is different for each customer and each appointment.

The line you can't change is:
"Jason, your appointment is at 2pm tomorrow (08.02)" But other than that, you can make the reminder say whatever you want.

Most common ways to change reminder are:

1. Adding more details about the location or entrance
2. Mentioning a deal that is available to customers, like if you're having a sale

3. Reminding people to bring something to their appointment if that's needed

As you can see in the video, when you press Save after having changed your reminder, a preview of the reminder pops up on the right side of the screen that shows you exactly what the reminder will look like to your customers.

Reverting back to the default reminder

If for any reason you'd like to revert back to the original reminder, you do so by emptying the text-field that you previously filled to change your reminder, and press save. Remember, you can always see what your reminders look like on the right side of your screen.

Anything else?

Now you know everything there is to know about changing your reminders.

If you're curious about anything else that relates to the reminders, here are a few other guides that should be able to answer any questions you might have ☺️
