What is Noona Pay?

Noona Pay enables you to accept payments for appointments booked through Noona. You can give your customers the option to either complete the payment at the time of booking or secure their appointment with a confirmation fee. It's very easy to set up and customisable to meet your preferences.

How do I set up Noona Pay?

  1. Connect your Teya account to Noona HQ. If you have not done so already or don't have a Teya account then you will start by going through the steps here.

  2. If you are a contractor you will go through the steps here but if you are an owner then you will go under 'online bookings' -> click 'set up prepayments'.

Customised solutions

After connecting to Teya, you can start customising the Noona Pay settings to fit your specific needs.
You have various options, such as setting a confirmation fee for certain services or specific staff members, deciding if online payment should be optional for customers, and more.

Below, I will walk you through a few scenarios to help you determine the best setup for you and your business.

Different options depending on what suits you the best

1. Requiring a confirmation fee

A confirmation fee is a payment customers must pay in order to book an appointment. By paying this fee, the customer is confirming their attendance, giving you assurance that your time is valued. This approach increases the likelihood of customers showing up on time or cancelling in advance. Additionally, having a confirmation fee simplifies life for you as you don't have to follow up on no-show claims.

2. Allow optional full prepayment

When you enable full prepayment, customers can decide whether to pay for the entire appointment at the time of booking or upon arrival. This option is ideal for those who want to save time at checkout and also makes it easy for a third party to cover the cost of the appointment. If you offer vouchers through Noona, customers can use them during the booking process. You can find more information about online vouchers here.

3. Both confirmation fee and optional prepayment

For example, a customer might pay a 50% confirmation fee, with the option to complete the remaining payment in advance if they choose to.

More Settings

You can also customise settings for specific services and staff members. For example, if certain staff members prefer not to require a confirmation fee, or if you want to set different percentage fees for particular services.

Booking flow for customers

Payouts and refundings

How do I know if the appointment has been prepaid?

If you move the mouse over the appointment you will see information whether it has been paid for or not. It is not necessary to use the POS system when using Noona Pay, but for those who are, the prepayments will be accounted for when processing the appointment through the POS.

When will I get paid for the appointment?

We settle payments with you daily. If an appointment is prepaid through Noona, you will receive the payment the day after the appointment occurs. The only exception is for same-day bookings, where payments will be received 48 hours later.

How do refunds work?

Customers receive an automatic refund if they cancel within your cancellation window. You can also issue a refund manually by selecting the booking in Noona HQ.

Payments to own account (contractors)

If you are a contractor at a salon or have contractors working for you, this method is ideal because it allows payments to be directed to different accounts. As an owner, this saves you the time of managing online payment settlements, and for contractors, it's highly convenient as the payment goes directly into their own accounts. If you are a contractor or have a contractor at work, I recommend pressing here.
